DIY Phosphate Reactor

For a DIY reactor could i just use a 2ltr coke bottle fill it with phosban and them pump through it?

just put rigid airline tubing almost all the way to the bottom, so the water will be pumped up through the media. Drill small holes in the lid around the rigid air tubing to let the water out through the top. Mine works great.
