I just wanted to share my tank with everyone. I have been in the hobby for almost 8 years and this is my 1st attempt at SPS. So far it's going really well.
The tank is a 75g and has been running for about a year and a half(used to be FOWLR). I just started keeping SPS about 4 months ago so I only have a few colonies and the rest are frags.
Sorry about the pics this was my also my 1st attempt at photography of a tank. I just have basic DC so some of my macro attempts are pretty lousy.
And while looking at the pics if your wondering about that dark spot on the monti cap, its from my milli falling on it. It's starting to grow back, I learned my lesson and won't let hat happen again(bought some holdfast).
Enjoy and thanks for looking!

Brent

that is a vlamingee tang that will soon, very soon outgrow that tank. Those fish are pigs and grow very large and thick and need large setup's of at least 300 gallons. Hope I'm not a downer, sorry

I know it will out grow the tank, but maybe by then I will have a larger one, If not, I know some good folks I can donate it to.

Beautiful Tank! Your pictures of the FTS look great. Do you mind sharing the exif data on one of then FTS?

Beautiful work.
I agree about the Vlamingi, it will grow. I have one in my 390, big and beautiful.

I'm not really sure what you mean about exif data. If you're talking about my camera I just used a canon powershot sd750 and played around with the exposure and white balance. Not sure the specifics on what I did, just playing around with stuff. I'm brand new to the whole photography thing.

front to back
ATI Super actinic
Giesemann actinic +
Giesemann aquablue
Giesemann 6K
Giesemann aquablue
Giesemann actinic +

I want to get all ATI and UVL bulbs because a know they have a better PAR rating, maybe in a couple of months I'll switch to something like.
ATI Blue +
ATI 75/25
UVL Aquasun
ATI Blue +
ATI aquablue special
ATI Blue +
I might be able to get better growth with this combo.

Gilby,
Looks nice bro. Thanks for the direction over to your thread. It will also serve me well since I too am setting up a new 75g in a few months. Have any pics of the lights and plumbing setup?

thanks,

Matt

Your tank sets a great baseline for me, too. Your tank is a great representation of what a beginner's SPS tank should look like, imo. Thanks for sharing!

Looks sweet. It'll be really nice when it grows out. Love the Tomini tang, but better be careful, the Tang Police are gonna bust your chops about that Vlamingi!

I just love 75's. People really can do so much with them, yours is a really nice example!

Keep up the good work!
