My tank has a very bad hair algae problem to the point wher it killed my daisy polyps. I wanted to get a cole tang and my lfs said they will eat the hair algae. Will they eat it. And also will they get more then 9 inches because i like smaller fish and if they do is ther anything that will stay small and eat hair algae. thanks. And no angels because I have a very establish bicolor.

they wont touch it (they dont have the right mouth parts to tear it to eat it). You'll need to focus on nutrient control/export, not add livestock.

I got the tank with it and i did a lot. always syphon it out when i do the water change and i feed my fish very little. Is a 25g. water change not enof for an 80g. tank.

How often are you doing a 25 gallon water change. Also, what are your nitrate and phosphate readings? These are important to know in order to answer whether or not 25 gallons is enough. That should be enough if you are doing it at least twice a month and your nitrates are not too high.

im only doing it once a month. dont know the readings. I usually just take a water sample every once in a while down to my lfs.
