i have the opportunity to get a zebra moray eel for a really good price. he is 18" long at the moment. I am wondering if it would be ok to add with the fish i plan to put in. I would keep him well fed.

Current Residents:

Future stock:
2 leopard wrasses
1 regal or emp angel
1 purple tang

I think he'd be a little TOO well fed with all of those other fish. It'd be like locking me in a bar overnight........

Yeah, I had a snowflake years ago and I wouldn't have trusted him with ANYTHING he could remotely see as food. Plus you have the whole aggresion/defence issue.

I would say no. My mandarin is pretty slow...I could see it being eaten. Not to hijack, but does anyone think a 12-15" snowflake would have eaten a 3-4" adult dragon wrasse. it has disappeared.

I'am with the other members here.
Eels will eat anything which they can fit in their mouth
not to mention inverts.....
Eels get along with larger predatory fish and
set ups which have nothing but predatory or large fish.
Also got to keep in mind that you must always keep your tank very tightly close.......Eels like to come out of tanks.....
cheers.
