i got a pink catspaw yesterday with a crab on it. i thought at first it was an acro crab until i saw the acro crab that came on the tricolor acro i got too. the one on the tricolor is tiny, and is white. the one that came on the catspaw is about the size of an emerald, is reddish orange with blue stripes. is this crab going to harm the catspaw? from my observations so far, it acts like an acrocrab should, cleaning off the coral. are there more than one type of acro crab?

yea, did more research and found that this specific acro crab lives only on pocillopora and stylopora (cats paw) its a shame the crab only comes out of hiding at night and hides whenever i bring the flashlight

Ah, Hopefully it will get use to the spotlight/flashlight
in its eyes. I'd like to see a pic of it some day.

if you use a red lens over your flashlight they do not see that spetrum of light and you can watch them all nite.

what a lucky purchase you made! Did you get these corals from an online retailer by any chance? I miss my acro crab, may he rest in peace (RB treatment)
