Can someone tell me if I need to replace this ballast or there may another problem?
I've checked all the wiring, switched bulbs but the thing just doesn't fire up correctly. It's very dim & flickery. I think it may have damaged the bulb in it too, since there is some black stuff inside the bulb.
When I switch the good bulb to the bad side, it fires briefly and then shuts down.
This unit has both 250 watt metal halide and 90 watt flourescent bulbs. I bought this unit on ebay about 3 years ago & have had minimal problems. I'm not sure what type of parts I would need or where to get them. Please forgive some of my terminology.
