I recently got a 54 gallon corner bow and was very disappointed to find that I just cannot take good macro shots with my Canon 100mm macro. The curved glass just distorts too much, cannot achieve focus (focusing manually). Any tricks??

I did find that moving away from the tank helps. I got some shots with my 70-300 (at 300) and an extension tube but obviously not the same quality that the 100mm can produce. I think I'm just out of luck...

I think so to. Sorry! Try to take some top-down shots with an open canopy.

Top down (http://www.melevsreef.com/topdown.html) is a good suggestion. You may also have flat spots on your glass that you can shoot through, dead center front or on the "sides". Just make sure you're lens surface is completely parallel to the glass you're shooting through.

THE reason I'd never own a BF. Good luck.
