Emailed you about a magnet issue on my Vortech. Did a search here and found out that you have a new and improved magnet in the works. Is that true and if so when does it come out?

It is currently in the research, developement and testing stage. More info will be released in the future when it becomes available.

O.K. what should I do in the mean time with my rusty, coating flaking magnet?

If your pump is under warranty they will replace the magnet. Otherwise you can either live with it until they come out with the new magnet or buy the old style now and the new style when this new magnet needs replaced.

Replied back to someone at ecotech after using the mail form but it is a gmail account I see.

Okay I have it sorted out. I tapped into my mail account from home. Your 1st request came in early Saturday morning. I will get this taken care of and send you a magnet tomorrow. It had me confused because the same issue was addresed under a Reef Central name. an e-mail name, and finally a real name. Took a while to figure all was the same person.

Sorry about that. Looking forward to receiving the new magnet so I can get my pump back into service. BTW, other than the magnet and separation issue I really like the pump. Hopefully with the new drive shaft and magnet my issues will be closed.

Received the replacement magnet today, thank you for getting it to me so quickly.

I have sent you an email with some pics of the replacement magnet that you may find interesting.
