Hi everybody,

In the next month or so, I will be switching the lighting on my tank from 2x96W VHO bulbs to 4x39W T5 bulbs.

I am currently running the VHOs on an icecap 660, so I will be using the ballast I currently have to run the T5s. I have already bought endcaps and reflectors.

So, right now I am trying to figure out which spectrum of bulbs to use, and how to arrange them in the canopy.

Right now with my VHOs I am running 1 12000k bulb (UVL actinic white) and 1 super actinic VHO (also UVL).

My tank is mainly going to keep zoos, mushrooms, LPS, and hardy SPS (such as monti cap). I just bought a T. squamosa clam as well.

I read that clams need bulbs with a color temp of 6500k to 10000k.

Do you have any suggestions on which combination of bulbs would ensure the spectrum needs of the inhabitants are met as well as optimizing colours?

Thanks!

Tim
