Okay here it goes . Right now i have a 12 gallon nano cube stock. I want to upgrade the lights but i don't knwo what the best option is. I just want to be able to have whatever i want in my tank so i know that i will have to upgrade. I have loked at the Viper 150w is that to much or is that even a good light. Any feedback is great.

I had a couple of Viper 70's over my eclipse 12g and they did a pretty good job.
I helped a friend retr a 70w retrofit kit in the hood of his Nano cube 12 and the outcome looks pretty awesome. I could add a pic to this thread if you like.

that would be cool. I seen what the viper looks like over a 24 gallon. I just don't know if i want to go with an open top or keep the hood. I think it wold be cool to be able to look in from the top when ever I wanted to though.

an open top will keep your tank cooler than a set up like this but it's really up to you.
