updating coast to coast

I am updating my coast to coast drain that I made from a piece of PVC.
But I want to make an acrylic one. Is 1/4 inch acrylic strong enough or should I use 3/8 inch

It really depends on the size of it and what the difference in water height is on both sides of the overflow.

The coast to coast is 1.68 meters and 12cm high

1/4" will be fine for that

You may want to consider a narrow brace at the to of the overflow at midline to keep the vertical wall from bowing back (depending on the depth of water in the overflow)
