Todays' Phosphate Question.

According to my Hanna Phosphate Meter, my tank water measures out at 0.01. My new make-up water however tests out at 0.05. Is this enough of a variance to be concerned about, especially considering I change about 20% of my water weekly? I'm using BRS High Capacity GFO on the tank, btw.

I don't think the difference is significant, personally, but others insist that the meter is more accurate than the specifications for it.

I had the same problem but mine were; tank-.01 mix can-.20
I had been using that can for 5 yrs and it was begining to look dirty.
Took the can outside and scrubed with a brush and water and got the phos down to .02 after mixing a new batch.
