I think I read here that the new Digital powerbars have every socket protected against the high inrush current now unlike previous versions that only had S1,2,5, and 6. I wanted to confirm this and also ask about the Analog powerbars setup. I cant find any information regarding hooking it up to MH ballast. Does it have the same limitations on inrush current or does it have the high inrush on all circuits like the new Digitals?

ALL powerbars as of this year have 200amp in rush protected relays this includes digital (all sockets) and analogue (all sockets)

the total ampage of both bars has not changed that is still 15amp total maximum load.

Hi Michael,

Is there a way to tell the diffrence without taking them apart? Are there date codes on them?

This was covered in huge depth only two weeks ago on this forum, the thread became epic length.

Simple answer yes, check the sticker. Series one had fuses also, series two dont and series one have not been in circulation for some time now.

Hope that helps

I have the existing Digital powerbar and wanted to know how to add the Analog powerbar to the mix. Do I plug the analog into the S port then plug the digital into the analog? or vise versa?
Also should I just delete all my socket settings and redue them?

Analogue goes into S5-S8 it can not be daisy chained with the digital

Your digital numbering will start from 5 so 5 becomes 1

Well this setup doesnt work. Since I have the Analog plugged into S5S8 it uses Socket S5-8 in programing. If I rename the Digital powerbar to start at 5 then it wants to turn on the Analog stick at the same time as the digital. How do I work around this or can I?

To make it simpler to follow, program the digital to start from socket 9-15
