Hi,

My magnesium is 1600+, I wonder is there any negative impact to my corals?

I use Ocean Pure Pro salt which has very high mag, a few month passed I ckecked and found out it got so high.

We do at times run it that high to kill of certain types of unwanted alage, such as Dino's for a period of 2 weeks or so then bring it back down. We have no clue what the long term effect may be on other animals such as Corals, so it is best to do a WC and get it back down.

On another note either you got a bad batch or have a testing error, as this salt is usually ~ 1380-1410 Mg++. It is Oceanic, that is more like 1600 ppm Mg++ and not Ocean Pure Pro.
