read the instructions but just once... don't worry if it really doesn't sink in. then just start playing with it and figuring out what all it can do to improve your tank and make your life easier

When you do figure it out, you'll never have a tank without one again! AC's rock!

You will also want a safety in there, in case your temp probe fails. Such as if the temp is over 100F, to turn the lights back on and heater, make sure your heater is set to click off though at the required temp, same goes for lower temps. It does happen, and you should be prepared for it if it does.

Start playing with the controller. The directions make it more difficult than it has to be. Write down what you want the controller to control and times or perameters each device needs to be set at. The only thing that is difficult is the military time. IMO
The ACjr is a great controller and is very adaptable. If you have any questions ask away, just don't get discouraged.

You can turn devices on using manual control or program control. Have you tried manual control; that is good for verifying that everything is connected correctly.

Something appears to be wrong with it the cable or the connectors then. Check for bent pins or corrosion. If you have a 4 conductor telephone you can try that. If you continue to have problems, contact support@neptunesys.com.
