WWYD? sick anem

So I accidently poisened my BTA, should have smelt the clam before feeding it but I did not. I fed it a spoiled clam & it got sick.

Its shrilved and been walking for several days now, mouth is still sealed tighter than a... well... insert your pun here...

I've got several hard to find pieces of SPS that I dont want this thing killing....

Would you take it out, do you think it will recover from bad food?

Oh... and my clowns are ****ED! so much for all that spawning behavior :(

I wouldn't feed or put anything spoiled in my tank so.....


If possible you could move your prized sps but if that is not feasible then I think you have no choice but to move your BTA.

It's doubtful that a BTA brushing against a sps will kill it. If the anemone is in long term contact, that might be a different thing. I would let the anemone settle back to a place it likes and then if it's in contact with a coral, move the coral.
