Where is the best and cheapest place to get DI resin at?? I have a dual di setup and it is time to replace some of the resin.

We are a bit biased on that topic...

We recommend you don't purchase more than you'll use in 6 to 9 months.

In addition to BFS, there are a number of good places to get your RO/DI supplies.
There's purelyH2O, thefilterguys.biz, bulkreefsupply to name a few.

I've bought from all of the above and been very happy.

Thanks for the info, but what is the "proper" method.

By proper method, do you mean refilling a cartridge or how often to change?

You need to get a TDS meter in order to tell when your DI resin is exhausted. I got one from filterguys for $20. It's very handy to tell if your RO unit is working properly.

You can buy pre-measured portions which will fill a typical DI cartridge. I don't make a great deal of water, so one cartridge lasts me a long time. I simply dumped out the old, rinsed it and filled it with new resin, tapping the cartridge on the table so the resin packs in tighter.

Hope that helps.
