Do you submerge your tunze wavebox or do you have a little of the top of the box above the water..it says on the instructions to have one inch of the top of the box out of the water but it doesn't explain why...lol.. I also wonder why they say not to put it in a pool:D again, they don't have an explanation :lol:
Right now we have the top of the box one inch above the surface.

The first time we got to see one of these wave boxes in action was in austin TX after that we just had to have one. :D
This is my first wavemaker..finally I can see my corals acting more like they would in nature.

It needs to be out of the water at the top so it is able to displace the water that fills the box during the off cycle. The rapid water displacement at the proper repeated interval is what creates the wave.

Ok cool, the top is out of the water. Thanks for explaining why it must be like that.
