Where can I find 1" rubber gasket

I'm helping a friend set up a new tank using bits and pieces from the aquarium graveyard in my garage. I was surprised by all of the little treasures I had stashed away in storage bins over the years. I have pretty much everything he needs, but I need to replace the rubber gasket on a 1" bulkhead fitting. Does anyone know where I might find one? I was thinking maybe a hardware or auto parts store. I'm hoping to find a local retailer so I can get it today rather than ordering on line.

I also want to make sure its aquarium safe.

try Lowes or Home Depot plumbing dept. they may have em', i have seen bulkheads at Lowes!

I would think any hardware store or plumbing supply store. 1" is a common size.
