Eheim external filter - pulsing

Hi all

Just rigged up my external filter, yesterday, and followed all of the instructions about syphoning prior to switch on etc but it seems to be pulsing, as if it cant suck in enough water. Its a bit weird really. I ensured all of the pipes were conected properly so no air could get in, but it hasnt helped.

sounds like it still has air in it, also make sure all your valves are open

Valves are open. Whats the best way to expel the air??

What type of Eheim canister filter do you have?
