I can't get a wave going, for the life of me. I got 30x 30x 24H tank. Right now I have them on reef crest mode and sync. They are pretty much centered on the back wall 1 on the left and 1 on the right about 3" from the each side. What am I doing wrong that there are no visible waves on the water surface. Please help.
TIA
Mike

You will not get a wave using the reef crest mode. The mode to get a wave is the pulse mode. Set your pump to anti-synch and your desired maximum speed and then hit the set button. Start with a very fast pulse and slowly delay the pulse speed until you hit the sweet spot for your tank and get a wave going.

Hey, perfect thread....I have a 30x30x24 tank and I am looking at the merits of getting one of these Vortechs for my tank to get some wave action going. Let us know if you get it to work and I would love to see some pics of your setup.

I got a wave going in pulse mode. But I wasn't to happy. I started a thread in the SPS forums if you want more options.
