You may want to re-write what you are saying, as is it is very difficult to understand. Are you saying it was below 285 and went to 285 and now has gone up to 309 in the last 2- 3 days ? Where is the dial set at ?

Let it sit for a few days to see where it goes to. You do not need it any higher that 400mV. How are you treating the water that has been treated with ozone ? Ozone produces some toxic by-products, so the water needs to be run through carbon. How is the ozone unit hooked up, which is important ?

You need some heavy reading to do.

I have the generator hook up tp my lifereef skimmer at the venturi. There is no carbon. right now the generator is off.

OK, well that water leaving the skimmer should be run through carbon before it goes into the tank /sump. The ozone creates small amounts of "bleach" and we want to get rid of that 'bleach", which carbon does. That skimmer cup also has vent on it and one shoudd make or get another cup that sits on top of it so the air leaving the skimmer cap vent gets filtered with carbon so ozone does not get into the house.

can i have this vent to the outside on the skimmer

All water exiting the skimmer as well as the top of the skimmer should be protected with carbon. This will ensure the safe use of ozone for your fish and your family. :)

Yes, you could but how far is it to the outside. ? You can to impede its flow at all or the bubbles will start to collapse.
