My alk is right at 8.0 with the reactor at it's current settings. I'd like it a bit higher.

What do I need to do to increase alk? I increased the CO2 bubbles slightly, and set my PH controller to 6.5. I believe it was a tad above that.

I supplemented it with some of Randy's 2 part to boost the alk lvl (yes I did the Ca as well). Is there anything else I need to do to run and sustain a higher alk?

The way I see and practice it is that reactors are for maintaining levels, not raising them. So I bump my parameters to keep them high and use the reactors to maintain them in between waterchanges;)

I use baked baking soda to bump alk...
