Hey,
I've had a LMIII for about 3 months now. Can I just change the number to adjust the amount that is dosed each day or do I really need to change the status from run to off then back to run?
Thanks
Ben

Your question leads me to ask if you have read the manual. Do you still have "A: 300 03.00 RUN" showing on the display?
You should have calibrated the LM3 to establish the RATE that the pump actually runs.
You can then set the FLOW to whatever amount you want to move each day, as Liters per Day.

Hi Scott,
I have read the manual and I did calibrate the unit as soon as I recieved it. My question stems from the fact I re-read the manual today and the statement on page 12 that says, "Digits are stored as they are changed. Dosing schedule is re-calculated when STATUS is changed from OFF to RUN."
My curiosity stems from the fact that the dosing schedule only changes when the status is changed from off to run. I only wonder because I've had a hard time maintaining Alk.
Thanks,
Ben

Forgive me, I now understand your question better.
Any digit you change is immediately saved in safe memory, but the re-calculations for the dosing schedules are not performed until you toggle from RUN to OFF and back to RUN, once. The dosing schedules are really just the number of seconds per 9:36 cycle that each pump should be powered on.
Now, if you are suspecting the LM3 for your Alk problems, please set it up so you can dose your FLOW amount into a measuring cup for exactly 24 hours. Let's see if there is a discrepancy there.

Hey Scott,
Thanks for the information. That is exactly what I was looking for. I certainly don't blame the LM for my alk problems. It was another variable I needed to look into and I've definitely found my answer.
Thank you for your continued support!
