Why does my skimmer started foaming right after feeding?

I have an EuroReef RS 5-2 and it foam up and overfill collection cup as soon as I feed my fish. It generates a lot of large size bubble and it push the cover up. Eventually, it overfills and spill all over the place. This only happens when I feed home make food (squid + shrimp + scallop mixed in a chopper). If I feed flakes, that doesn't cause anything.

The oils in the food are changing the surface tension, allowing bigger bubbles to be formed and overflowing your skimmer. Just turn off the skimmer when you feed that food.

why are you feeding food to your skimmer and not your fish?

lighter feeding more frequently will help that.
