You have several Hawaiian leaf fish in the diver's den. What are these eating and how long have you had them there? I am interested in keeping one of them with a dwarf lion fish that is currently 3". Is this advisable?

jelwyoming,

Thank you for your question. We apologize, however we were having difficulty responding to your previous thread. The Hawaiian Leaf fish are currently eating ghost shrimp. We would certainly recommend caution when adding this fish in with your Lionfish due to aggression issues. We are also checking with our Aquacultured Coral and Marine Life Facility to see how long these specimens have been in our facility. We will have an answer for you shortly.

Do leaf fish ever learn to take frozen foods? I hear that they do not. So unless I have a supply of ghost shrimp locally, this probably wouldn't work, right?

jelwyoming,

Thank you for your post. In general, Leaf Fish will only eat live foods, and so we would only recommend this fish if you have available a dependable source of live foods, such as Ghost Shrimp (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=1075+1468&pcatid=1468) or White Shrimp (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=497+2190+2191&pcatid=2191).
