Thought I would say Hi to everybody. It has been a long time since I have visited the site. After selling my tank I have not thought about reefkeeping. But lately it has been clouding my mind.

So I have been throwing around the notion that it is about time to get back into the hobby.

This is where I need your help. I have been out of reefkeeping for so long now I am not sure what new equipment is out there. I need some help picking the right equipment. I assume it is time again to start reading the boards.

Looking for some ideas. I am thinking at least 250g (total volume) and mainly sps stocked.

Here is a link to my old tank

well after a little coaxing I have gotten the ok from the wife to go ahead and start planning the new reef.

I am starting from scratch here with no equipment on hand.

So lets start with the tank. I am not sure where to buy the tank from. I am looking for an acrylic 72" x 24" x 24" or 30" tall.

I would love for you guys to help me plan the set up on this system.

Any reputable tank suppliers?

This will be an in wall installation.

For acrylic I would recommend James at Envision Acrylics.

For everything else, I would suggest cruising around a bit and see what you like. There has been so much change since 04-05...

Um, I think you should reconsider acrylic and go with glass :)

You cant tell me that without giving your reasoning.

Why should I go with glass?

I'd go with glass over acrylic for the simple fact glass doesn't scratch as easily. If you get Starfire glass on the front and sides, it'll look just as nice, if not better than acrylic IMO.
