View Full Version : My First Salt Water Aquarium (Pictures)

Hey Guys, this is my first Saltwater aquarium. the current items in the tank are, 1 Emerald Crab, 1 Hawaiian Feather Duster,
10 Pounds Of Live Rock, 2 Turbo Snails, 1 Blue Leg Hermit Crab,
1 Zebra Hermit Crab. Here are the pictures! (Let me know if you see any problems.)

great start. If this is a fowlr tank then you will have to be careful what fish you add with the inverts you have added.

Nice, clean tank. I would go with sand over crushed coral, but that's just my opinion.

I think they will be fine, although the royal gramma might become the dominant fish, especially with all other fish probably being smaller.

Thanks for all the help guys! but I have a question, do frogspawn's and brains need special lights? are frogspawns and brains good for begginers?

To quote an old saying Zakk, the only stupid question is the one not asked. :)
As far as lighting for the corals you mentioned, I think they would do best under metal halide, T5 or even VHO. Frogspawns, as other Euphyllia corals, need very good water conditions. JMO, HTH

Looks good so far! How long has it been up? about 13 days, but just added the 5 more pounds of LR and the Emerald Crab and Feather Duster.

wow im impressed! your tank looks great! never take down on nano tanks! great job Zakk. keep me posted.
