I voted Tropic Marin, but we are really using Tropic Marin Pro Reef. Before that we were using Oceanic with good results.

This poll has been done many many times and I think the one last week left out Reef Crystals as well. :p
Anyhow, here's a link to a more complete poll with a good amount of votes that you sghould find helpful.

Seachem here. You should add to the poll "what salt are you using and do you have any build-up of an unidentified algea/scum". Reef Crystals would still be ahead..

i use coralife because i can get it cheap. But it turns out its a pretty darn good salt. AWT tested all the major salt brands for major elements and buffering abilities etc and it tested out very good.

Instant Ocean waaayyyy out in front!!!!!!!!
WHY?
It is inexpensive and has a very long track record of success. It also has a nice mix of most ions in it, IMO. I use it, but I do bump the calcium and magnesium with Dowflake and MAG flake.

I just switched to Oceanic from Instant Ocean and must say I like the higher calcium levels. The coralline is going like crazy now.

Randy --- you seem amazed about the use of IO. I use Tropic Marin .... because I thought it gives the most balanced salt water from the research....

tropic marin pro reef, i do rate it but to be fair theres not much choice here, i have a choice of red sea, reef crystals or tropic marin pro reef, the reef crystals are £4.00 more expensive than the tropic marin pro reef over here, as for red sea i just dont rate it from articles and other info ive read

Just switched to D-D H2Ocean. I used to use Red Sea Coral Pro Salt but was unable to source it locally. It has also has risen in price quite considerably.
So I thought I would give the H2ocean a go. It appears to be quite good except a little alarmed at the high dKH which is 14.1. ( tested numerous times )
