I just received my order of sunburst anthias.

Bagging=Bad IMO

Why do you clamp the bag so low? Am I supposed to transfer them to my own bag to acclimate? After cutting right below the metal clamp, I only have 4-5 inches of bag depth. Even less when I try to roll the edge back to float it in my tank.

I personally haven't had any issues with the bags.

You could try acclimating in a different way. I float my bags - closed to match the temps, then I pour the contents of the bag into a bucket and drip acclimate. IMO, that is better then floating an open bag, no chance of the bag water getting into the tank.

Kellyjn,

Thank you for contacting us and bringing this to our attention. There should still be enough room to fold just the edge of the bag over so they are able to float. You can also use Toddrtrex’s suggestion with the Drip Acclimation Method. We have forwarded your comments to a Supervisor for their review. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.
