probably a dumb question but what are these plump little things on my filter intake? and also the little white specks?

The look similar to pineapple sponges -- harmless filter feeders.

hi the small white spots look like snail eggs (had the same in my tank not positive they are eggs as nothing happened with them) have you just added snails

Ive had snails in there for about 3 months....

ive had those white things on my glass and surface skimmer for several months now, but dont know what they are...

I didn't see the question about the little white spots. I am assuming that they are hard. If they are I am betting that they are a type of feather duster worm -- should have little red crowns when out.

if those are feather dusters they are everywhere in my tank...

I have a bunch of them in my overflow and in my sump. See if you can look at them closely, to see if you see the red crowns.

I didnt see any red crowns but there were little holes in them.

The large white things are a type of sponge/filter feeder. The tiny little circular white things are indeed feather dusters and the other white things that are pyramid shaped are called a pyramid snails.

Those snails are considered pests and can quickly increase in numbers. Check out this link that describes them in more detail.
