I came across a small sample of Ultra min S and decided to give it a try. I have been pleasantly surprised with the results and would like to continue to use it. However I am having a hard time finding it, is it available anywhere in the US or Canada online?

You can find it at AquariumSpecialty.com
If you liked that, give the 4 powertrace bottles a try, they increase colors very nicely.

What would be some products to try just to get your feet wet with the Fauna Marin brand?

Vinny will be better to answer this, but we will be sending out small samples on request.

Small samples is a great way to get the ball rolling.
As for getting your feet wet with FM products, there are many choices to choose from for different goals. From your gallery pics, I can tell your into acropora. I would definitely try out UltraLife and UltraMinS to start off. UltraClam is another great product that grows clams quicker and makes them more colorful. If your confident that your nutrients are low, then also try the 4 Powertrace bottles. IMO, this product has given me the best results in increasing green, purple, and pink coloration.

Right now the only problem I have with color would be some of my corals are to light. But, most of them are really colorful. As far as nutrients, I think I could use a little help there, for some reason I am not getting the growth I should be getting.

In this case i would consider the UltrLith system to keep your nutrients at an optimum level, you can then look further into the other methods once you are happy with the results obtained by UltraLith.
What i will do is send you in the next Month a sample of UltraLith to try out and then please report back how things work out.

Where can I get a starter kit? Aquarium Specialty and Cherry Corals don't have one listed, in fact Cherry doesn't list any Fauna Marine products available.

Cherry corals will have this in the next few weeks.
The dosing station is released in mid July and any pre orders get free shipping from their dealer.

I am making progress in uploading all FM products.
A new site has been built that has two layers, one for livestock and one for drygoods.
It will be complete and integrated into Cherrycorals proper over the next week.
Progress so far has been slow as I have been a bit under the weather.

Are there going to be samples of the algae x product?
AQD_ottawa
06/30/2008, 09:17 PM
None have been released as it is difficult giving samples of a product that requires a full dosing regime to work

Do you think it is possible to see results with any type of samples? If they are samples, you probably wouldn't last long enough to tell a difference I would think? Am I wrong?

Will you be offering starter kits containing the basic 4? I'm waiting to see what you are going to carry before I make an order, but the waiting is killing me.

I received a sample of the ultra min s a while back from an online vendor and although it was very small I was impressed and so were my SPS. It's the reason I'm now looking for an ultralith starter kit. I imagine results will vary greatly from tank to tank because often our parameters differ greatly. JMO

EEK, give me a few days, i am feeling the pressure now :(
100% honesty, the delay in getting the supplies across the pond is shipping charges, they literally have doubled in a month and so we are in negotiations with shippers to make sure the goods get here fast and on time and at a cost that does not rip our arms off. I will be making a shipping decision no later than Monday and the goods are ready to leave next week.
All distributors are in the same boat right now, sky high shipping and the need to keep clients onboard with level pricings
Damn oil price!!!

Not to take the pressure off, but I understand. :D Shipping has become quite costly for everyone and it probably will not be getting better any time soon.

Nothing like the corals I see here everyday but that's one of the reasons I want to start using Ultralith. However here are some of my pre Ultralith shots, excuse the poor excuse for a photographer. :D

My fav coral in my system in the UK was a Blue table top, had the exact same pigmentation, it was stunning just like the above, but as soon as it was put in an ultrLith system, the colour and greowth went crazy, so i will be genuninly watching this with big interest :)

I'm really looking forward to giving the system a try. My nutrients I'm afraid are still a little high and I'm hoping that the Ultralith will help me bring them down. Looking more for color than growth, my growth isn't bad at all now. I run my Alk a little on the high side so I'll need to start bringing that down once I make an order.

I am sure the UltraLith will really give great results and provide a more deep rooted colour.
To me, the key is/was to get your phosphates down with a good GFO first, then start the ultralith. I used the ultra power phos, and it worked great. From time to time, I still use a little of it along side the ultralith. Having phosphates low just makes starting everything easier, and does not exhaust the media(zeolith) as fast.
