little heads up, LFS said it was reef safe, i guess i didnt ask if it was fish safe. he has killed 1 sea star, 1 fire fish, 1 urchin, and 2 cardinal fish. ive tried a fish trap, tommorow i am taking half my rock out to get him. besides doing a 50% water change when im done any more advice. these rocks have not been disturbed for a year and a half. thankshttp://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg95/stuccodude/star001.jpg

Well, I guess you learned this the hard way, but lobsters are not reef or fish safe. One of my first purchases was a lobster and it along with a large hermit crab ate fish, snails crabs and even a lionfish! They are opportunistic feeders and will eat anything they can catch!

LFS should really warn you about their behavior, but then again LFS should do alot of things they don't.

i cant get a pic cause he never comes out but hes the popular one thats redish purple. he might not be the culprit. last night at around 3 i got up to use the restroom and seen this guy sitting on a coral. i was lucky i was able to get him out rather easy. havent added any rock in a year, gotta love this hoby. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg95/stuccodude/star004.jpg

yeah the crab might be the problem almsot looks like a teddybear or something..but not sure....but sounds kinda fishy that you started to lose stuff just as you put the lobster in... also how big is that crab think its possible he killed all that stuff by himself?
