Ok so I got a bulb anemone on THursday from liveaquaria. Friday when I go up he moved to the back of the tank.Saturday he was on the top of live rock on the top of the tank anbd throught the day he was slowly moving down the LR. When I went to bed I saw a sweeper coming out from the middle section of the tank and was happy it was there cause thats where I Wanted it to go originally.

THis morning I saw bits and pieces in the tank and no bulb. I have the Modular Surface Skimmer but not sure if that matters and it got sucked up into the filter.

ANy ideas?

THanks,
Brian

if you have powerheads or any type of strong intake, you need to cover them up (the intake part) if you have a bta bc they will wander and go suicidal on you, as you found out :(

Agree with both of the above. Did you check the intake to see if it was up inside?

Is there any type of anemone that is hardy, clow hosting, and less prone to wander. I lost a bubble tip the same way. I did get it removed and into a qt but it died. Talk about a nasty smell! The clean empty qt still smells.

I the pieces are large enough they can still live, but it sounds like they are not. They smell Really bad along with dead snails and starfish.

I would have to rate the smell as a 9 out of ten. Snails being a 6. I don't even want to think what a 10 would be!
