Is appropriate for a 29G reef tank?

Looking for something that will be very colorful and able to be kept alone or maybe I would consider a pair that will swim through all my rockwork and caves.

Was thinking of the catalina goby but I heard it needs cold water as cold as 65 deg.

Any ideas?

Reason I ask is that I have a lot of caves and piles of rockwork

Yellow watchman. Loves caves, digs, and is bright yellow with tiny irridescent blue spots on his face.
He lives with a tiger pistol shrimp, and the two make a delightful pair for a small tank. Ich-resistent, hardy, and attitudinals, eats anything.

Orchid dottyback(s)

They are real cave dwellers

Need to be added at the same time if you are going to do two

Dottyback or gramma, most gobies would work.

They do not need a shrimp but it is more interesting when they have one

would not go with the dotty back. they are very aggressive and the 29 will be too small.

I've been trying to find a blue assessor(Macneil's basslet). They seem to fit your needs but are very pricey.

Arabian Pseudochromis is my suggestion but in a 29 gal tank, this could be your only fish- but, they are beautiful, inquisitive, active, and you can see by their head and eye movement how alert (not nervous) they are to their surroundings. You could probably do OK with a pair of Ocellaris or Percula clowns as well with a nice BTA.

Talbots Damsel - Mine is in and out of every nook and cranny in the tank. After I clean the tank, it will pick up rubble with it's mouth and fling it or carry it away. It gets along well with a yellow tailed damsel and molly in my mantis tank.

I kept a very happy orchid in a 26 with a pair of o. clowns for over 18 months. Even had a small CB in there for a while.

I have a pair of Janss' pipefish in my tank and they swim through the rock formation much of the day. Course, they don't come out in the open ever....
