I have 125g tank, I want to setup for mixed corals. On my budget of $500 dollars it is proving difficult to find 72" fixture. I do not like the way wood hoods look and I do not want to hang pendants. Can anyone help answer my question: can I use a 48" fixture on a 72" tank and get good coverage for the corals? If so is there something different I must do like hang it higher or look for a 250mh hood apposed to 150mh hood.

Im running a 48" because I ordered a 60" but the company messed up and sent me a 48"; but the 48" was a better fixture. I tried calling them but never got through, so I just ran it. One day Ill add a single halide (seperate fixture) to get full coverage...

I know you can get refurbrished Sunpod's off Ebay really cheap. I think I saw a 3x150 watt fixture for like three hundred.
