I'm looking to get some DIY skimmer parts CNC'd...anyone know a cheap or at least decently priced place that does low volume parts?

Thanks

try acrylic/plastics manufacturing/fabricating places. they generally have giant cnc routers mills and lathes!

I went to his website and submitted a form twice, and called his cell and left a message with no response. Anyone know what he's up to? I love his work and would love to get his opinion on my ideas as well.

Sounds like a company you dont want to deal with. I would move on to someplace that has SOME customer service. There are plenty of CNC shops that want your business.

You have no idea who you're talking about obviously. If you don't want to do business with him, I'm sure there are a dozen people to step in and take your place. Scott does simply amazing work and that is why his services are in such high demand.

The fact that he does amazing work, and that he has been resposive to other people doesn't change the fact that hes ignoring the other poster, and showing pretty shoddy customer service.

Sometimes things change. Sometimes companies with great service lose their touch.

I can be quick to defend him and you can be quick to criticize him, but we know nothing of the situation other than what one person has posted.

Sometimes things take time. Sometimes there aren't enough hours in a day to do everything everyone wants you to do.

Well, the situation only applies to me as I am the OP and the one looking for CNC work. I believe 2.5 weeks is enough time to return 2 emails and one call. Don't get me wrong, I love his work and would love the opportunity to pick his brain and work with him...I'm just not able to get this chance.

In any event, your first post was quite confronational and I'd like to stay away from that and keep this thread on topic. So, if you know Scott personally, and can get me in touch with him, great, if you don't and are just arguing here, please create another thread.

Anyone else have any recs? I've looked into standard CNC shops that I've googled, but all charge quite high fees and don't really do small volume. I was hoping for more of an aquarium oriented CNC guy who'd know exactly what I'm looking for.

Yellow, great looking work, I'm sure I'll be talking to you and thanks for offering to help!

Not having the time to do the job is fine. You just have to call the customer and tell them that. Not returning calls is about the worst thing you can do from a customer support standpoint.

(And I like spazz, FTR)

The fact is...he has totally blown off the OP. As good as his work is...I hope he has plenty lined up, this type of customer service has cost him dozens, if not more, jobs.

Thanks for the offer! I've PM'd you.

I've looked at MRC, and while they do nice work, I'm betting they'd charge quite a bit. I may give them a call anyways, thanks for the suggestion.
