it is common to get algae on a new setup, it will go away in time. next will come the hair algae and then canyo. all normal.

the algae you have now BTW is diatoms

How old is your tank? just started it a week ago...ive got 16 pounds of live rock and 20 pounds of sand i tested my water at the aquarium place and they said it was good, so i dont think its bad algae? how do i get rid of it if it is?

I agree with Sam its to do with the curing of the live rock producing phosphates and nitrates which fuels these aglae blooms. As the rock cures the food is dimished and the algae dies off

It should level out in time but keep an eye on it.
