well my tanks been up for over 5 months now. and was fine. preety much algea free. but this last month ive had uncontrolable amounts of algea up the back wall, around the top of the tank ( long stringy hair algea and thick goey stuff ) heres a couple of pics . any ideas what the problem is ? i do regular water changes. i do have a bubble stop containing foam on my skimmer. and i use filter socks on my overflow.

Are you using RO/DI water?

Obviously you have quite a bit of phosphates coming from somewhere. Either the water source or what you are feeding would be my bet.

I would cut back on the lighting (leave the lights off for about 3 days) skim wet, and feed less, that might help you.
