I am setting up a 180 gallon system in a 250 sq ft room that is sealed from the rest of the house. The room is all glass with no very little direct sun light. I am worried about humidity during the winter months here in Montana. Does anyone have any good ideas foe this? Also the room will have it own heating and cooling system.

If you can vent the tank with a bath exhuast fan through ducting or dryer hose to the intake for the heater the moisture will be removed by the heater /AC itself problem solved, otherwise you have a problem.

I doubt a dehumidifier is going to keep up with all that glass and the moisture available for condensation. I would think that it would still coat the windows in that small room, but I will admit that I have little experience in this particular situation.

I had major issues with my 450, so when I built my 300 in wall, I elected to seal the head-space above the tank (a canopy of sorts) off from the rest of the house and vent and induct fresh air from outside over the tank. Last winter I had zero problems finally;)

A dehumidifier is expensive to run... You might as well just run an A/C unit.

The dehumidifier is just like an A/C except it heats the air after it passes over the coils using even more electricity...

Some way to vent it to the outside with a fan would be best.

my dehumidifier heats my intire basement, and is a pain in the summer. I would go with a venting fan

I have my 120 gal in a similar situation. I leave the door to the room open esp in the summer and use one of those cheap stand up rotating fans--just put it on the floor at the far end of the room and it keeps the circulation up.
