View Full Version : Brown dots on a bubble coral?

I picked up a bubble coral a couple of months ago from Dr Fosters & Smith's retail store. It's doing great for me - it's probably double the size it was when I got it. (or it could be my imagination)

Anyways, over the last week or so I've noticed brown dots all over it - they're pretty small - maybe about the size of a dot of ink from pressing a pen to paper.

I haven't had a chance to do any water tests - but to me the spots are more of a sign of pests...but what would bother a bubble coral? Hopefully I'll have time to run some tests tomorrow afternoon.

Any ideas?

Here's a pic from this past weekend. Looks healthy enough - spots are too small to see. Will have to try to get a better pic...

could be flatworms but can't say for sure without a pic.
