Are you asking for something to vary the AquaSurf (percentages) between new moon to full moon? Highest power at full moon and lesser power at new moon?

You could use a conditional starting with "IF Timer MON = ON THEN ... " to do a simple on-off deal.
As for changing pump speed with moon cycle, i'm afraid you have to parse it out manually, as in the 36 lines you referred to.

Problem is; pump speeds are controlled by profiles and you only have a limited number of profiles; 6 in the AC3 (4 in the Jr and 7 in the Pro).

yea, that is the idea, set up 12 profiles. I guess with just 6 avalable profiles, I could adapt the moon season table to only even values... wow, that is a lot of work, but I think it mihgt be a fun project.

Well, you could write a small computer program to upload the profiles for the day. Have the program run on your computer and every day it could load, modify and post an updated AC3 program.
Are you wanting to simulate tides (or test the programming skills of the forum members ;)

lol, no, I am thinking simulating tidal variations, testing the programming skills of the forum members is just a bonus :p
it just seems that changing with the moo cycle would be more natural than day/night
