is this pump suppose to come with some type of small tubing for the output?

I was told by a buddy that it comes with this tube that absorbs all vibration.

My brand new 6.5 only noise is the vibration it is creating and I would like it dead silent like the pump on my BK SM 200.

thanks

Do you have a new version pump with union connectin @ input & output.
There should be no vibration.
Do you have a picture of the set up,these pumps are dead silent with no vibration.

Yes, the pump came with 2 union connections.

And there is vibration going up the PVC return line.

I am not so worried about the vibration in my current tank, but I am very concerned in my new tank (which this pump will be going in as soon as I can find a stand maker)

the pump is currently sitting on a mouse pad... should I remove the pad and see if the vibrations go away?

Is the pump silent?

not sure, the sounds I am hearing sound more like vibrations though.

I figured out the problem. My return pvc pipe is leaning against the sump (it's a 100g tank). As soon as I pushed the pvc away from the tank, it was silent.

This will not be a problem in my new tank.

:) thanks for the help!

That is what I thought as well
If there was vibration ,the pump will not be silent ,since there was no noise from pump the reason must of have been something else.
