Those who are running the AC Simulator will get an update notification when you run the application the next time. This release fixed the Feed Cycle handling....

It was discovered that when a Feed Cycle condition is true the AC will ignore further tests for the same timer (see this (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1408721) thread for details).

I have updated the simulator to handle this special case.

rbc1225, sorry but I don't have a Win 2000 machine to test with. I haven't marked the application as XP only. When do you get the message?

This is what you get when trying to install on w2k...

Prerequisite check for system component .NET Framework 3.5 failed with the following error message:
"Installation of the .NET Framework 3.5 requires Windows XP SP2, Windows 2003 SP1, Windows Vista, or later. Contact your application vendor."

That is it, Thanks RCgates. I hadn't read the message yet.

Hey Ken - Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but what are you using for the Season table? I'm converting everything over to RT+ for the temperatures and they don't seem to be reacting where I think they should in the simulator. Are you using the defaults so June would be 77.5°?

Thanks,

Doug

I have a default set of seasonal tables based on the AC defaults. This is the list for the 1st of each month:

76m,
75m,
76m,
76m,
76.5m,
77.5m,
78.5m,
80.5m,
78.5m,
77.5m,
76.5m,
76m

OK, I'm pretty new to this forum (and it's been a huge help already), but what is the AC Simulator. Is that a program you (or someone else) wrote to simulate how programs will work on the actual AC? And more importantly, how can I get my hands on this gem?

Yes, I've written 2 pieces of software. One is a simulator, which as you correctly guessed simulates the AC program. It also supports download and upload to an AC3 and AC3 Pro. The simulator allows you to make changes to tank readings (e.g., temp, ph, orp) and see how the program would change your tank devices or change switch and feed cycles and see how that would affect your tank's devices.

The second piece of software is a Vista gadget which monitors your AC3 or AC3 Pro and displays the time, readings and status of the tank in the Vista sidebar.

Both are available via my website; click the little red house in my signature and navigate to the software page.

Enjoy.

Disregard last. If I had bothered to read your signature block, I would have figured it out earlier. I'm downloading/installing it now, and I'm looking forward to playing around with it. Thanks in advance.
