Better skimmer- Octo extreme or recirc?

I'm thinking about a new skimmer to replace my asm g3. it's a 75 gallon tank with a 40 gal sump. Looking to spend $300 or less. I hear a lot of good things about octopus skimmers. The 150 extreme looks good, but is it much better than the recirc model? Anyone have the 150 extreme?

For the $ and performance the Octo extreme series, including the 160, is hard to beat even for a recirc skimmer. I wouldn't get so hung up on recirculting skimmers and performance. At that price level rec skimmers aren't even an option if you ask me.
