ORP and PH swinging together

I'm wondering if it is normal for the ph reading to move when you unplug the ORP probe or vise versa. I went to clean my probes today and I noticed the numbers on the display moving all over the place for both the PH and ORP when only one was out of the tank. I was thinking my PH probe could be bad so I swapped it out for the probe on my ACjr (in place of the ACII) but it showed the PH at 7.20 when the other probe was showing 7.75 Are the probes for the ACII and ACjr different? HELP!

Yes, there is a relationship between PH and ORP so when one moves the other will move slightly also. wrt your pH probe; probes need to be calibrated so if you just swapped probes without calibrating then it would be possible to get very different readings from the different probes.
