i was looking at my tank and i saw this tiny little cockroach looking thing crawling on one of my snails. it was one maybe two mm in length, clear. is this little guy bad for corals. i would put up some pictures but i don't know how and i didn't have enough time to take a picture.

Without a photo all I can suggest is that you take a look at the "zooplankton" section of my hitch hiker pages and see if you can find something similiar. Hope it is of use to you.

Very welcome, and while there are many such "pods" that follow that same body shape, the odds are with you that it is a harmless copepod. Good free food for some fish and corals.

saw it again today but would now say it's a munnid isopod. he's still on the same snail. starting to take a liking to him.
