What to buy. I am in need of a skimmer. 400 gal display, 200+gal sump/refugium lite stock. Money is of course a factor. Should I get an ASM, MSX, Pacific coast Reefflow? I think a needle type would be the best, mostly because of power consumption. What are you folks using?

I have to say that I really like my ASM. I have an ASM g-4 X, there is a newer version of it out now with a bigger pump. 400 gal is pretty big so I would recomend ASM's biggest skimmer, which is the G-6.

I don't know if AquaC makes a skimmer that would be big enough for your setup, but if they do I would check them out. I love mine.

i have a asm series in my setup and i absolutely love it, its the bests skimmer ive ever owned.. has a upgraded pump and mesh moded.... excellent...
