It seems that no one stocks them at a reasonable price, and everyone that does have a fair price has none in stock, and your website shows no stock. If I order from a third party, do you drop ship it once it becomes available, and if so, what is your current lead time?

Pete- We have been slammed with an unusually large amount of Large Liter Meter orders for months, and our cycle time to bring in more parts to build at a higher production rate than normal (in particular the pumps that we design and have built at a high end aerospace machine shop) has been slower than planned which has put us behind. Also compounding our problems is our Senior Technician who overseas Liter Meter construction has been at less than 50% as his wife has been undergoing chemo/radiation therapy for Cancer. Despite these unfortunate set backs, I anticipate that we will be back to full production on the Liter Meters in about 3 weeks as we will begin to burn off a back log of existing orders that have been patiently waiting for us to work through our supply chain issues. Again, I apologize for the delay, we are doing our best under the circumstances to refill the supply chain as rapidly as possible. I would suggest you place an order as soon as possible with your customary source as all orders are treated on a first come, first served basis.

Bruce I appreciate the quick answer, but you didnt answer my question. What is your lead time for an order placed today?

Pete-
I would estimate one month ARO.
Fwiw, there are several popular distributors first in line with pre-existing orders, so I would expect your supplier to have them faster than an order placed with us directly.
All of our loaner LMs are out in the field otherwise I would offer you a loaner until you got your system. Sorry again for the delay.

Thanks for your quick response again! I eventually found a supplier with stock and placed an order today.

On a side note, if you need help with efficient reorder points and safety stock calculations, I'd be happy to help out at no charge. Not trying to be a smart @ss, serious offer.

Thanks for the kind offer. I would enjoy a discussion on this subject in general. The LM is somewhat an anomaly (cancer, china earthquake, our key supplier CT issue etc) but in general this is a subject that I spend a lot of time working on and fretting over.
