Wavebox + Extension 550 reef

My tank is approximately 7.5 feet long by 48" front to back.

I just installed a wavebox plus extension. They are located a few inches from the back corner of the tank.

The only way I can get any wave at all is to set the frequency high. It produces a biphasic wave where both ends are down while the center is up.

I am only getting about a half to 3/4 inch wave though.

Any pointers on how to tune it? I started at the highest frequency with the power at max (the little red knob) and slowly decreased the frequency every every few minutes.

I did the same thing starting at the low frequency and dialed it up(counter clockwise) without any results at all.

What next?

Are they side by side or a few inches apart. If you could separate them 12" apart, you will notice a significant different. For better assistant, can you please post picture of your aquarium and the wavebox placement.

They are side by side immediately adjacent to each other.

I suppose I can separate them but then they will be much more visible.

If that's what it takes then I'll do it.
